Scholarship Opportunities
Change the Air Foundation is grateful to the individuals, businesses, and organizations who have donated access to various courses designed to help renters or homeowners alike improve their health by improving the air in their home.
To date, Change the Air Foundation is pleased to announce it has distributed 125 of these “scholarships” to members of our community. Current opportunities along with the application process can be found below.
Please note that if selected, all recipients are required to sign and return the waiver which can be found here.
Scholarships will be awarded to individual members of the Change the Air Foundation community based upon an applicant’s level of interest and potential to be benefitted by the course as determined by Change the Air Foundation based upon the individual’s application. Financial need is not a requirement but may be considered to be a factor by Change the Air Foundation. Directors, officers, employees, substantial donors, and other affiliates of CTA are ineligible.
Spring 2026
We are pleased to announce that the American Building Science Academy has generously donated 30 scholarships to DIY Mold Inspection: A Homeowner’s Field Guide to Moisture & Mold, an easy-to-follow course for homeowners, realtors, and property managers who want to learn how to find water manager or mold issues.
This online, self-paced course teaches real, practical inspection skills in a simple way—no technical background required. You’ll learn where to look, what signs to watch for, how to use basic tools, and how professionals think through moisture and mold investigations. The course also explains common mold and moisture testing methods, so you can better understand what tests are used, when they may be helpful, and what the results can and cannot tell you.
Whether you’re trying to check your own home, evaluate a property, or better protect tenants, buyers, or clients, this course gives you a clear, step-by-step way to start identifying moisture problems and mold risks with more confidence.
The application closed on May 20, and recipients will be notified by June 5. If you do not hear from us, it simply means we were not able to offer you a spot this time. We hope you’ll apply again when future scholarships become available.

Have you ever wondered what makes a healthy building? We are pleased to announce the Building Biology Institute has generously donated 10 scholarships providing online access to their BE 101: Natural Healthy Buildings course.
BE 101: Natural Healthy Buildings provides a comprehensive introduction to the science of Building Biology and its application to healthier homes and buildings. This self-paced course examines how factors such as air quality, chemicals, water, ventilation, particulates, EMFs, light, color, and sound influence human health in residential and commercial environments.

Thanks to the generosity of Dr. Jill Crista, we are able to provide 20 scholarships to two different online courses designed to empower those dealing with health challenges from mold and water damage in their homes. Please note that applicants may only apply for a scholarship to one of the classes.

Recipients of these scholarships will receive FREE access to two video masterclasses:
