Change the Air Foundation is excited to announce that our organization has formed a new advocacy alliance with another nonprofit organization, the National Organization of Remediators and Microbial Inspectors (NORMI).
Realizing that our nation’s indoor air environments and drinking water sources are at risk, NORMI is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the indoor living environment through educating the public and training professionals to identify problems and offer solutions to improve indoor air and drinking water quality. NORMI’s goal is to be the nation’s premier certifying agency for indoor air quality and drinking water professionals by providing the very best education, training, and support to enhance awareness of problems and solutions that benefit public health. As evidence of NORMI’s leadership position in the industry, NORMI has established an industry first Medical Advisory Board, which has determined that the NORMI™ level 4 protocol as implemented by the NORMI™ trademarked NCRSI (Certified Remediation for Sensitized Individuals) professional, as medically sound remediation for sensitized Patients.
Change the Air Foundation and NORMI agree that giving indoor air quality (IAQ) professionals, mold remediators, and water damage restoration specialists the tools to deliver safer, more effective outcomes is crucial for so many affected by mold-related illnesses in this country.
Our two organizations will work together at both the federal and state level advocating for updated laws, regulations, and policies that help ensure the basic right of every person to breathe safe air in every home and building.
