Your voice, our mission—now echoing through Congress!

Because of the passionate advocacy of Change the Air Foundation—alongside dedicated military family volunteers, military moms, and allied organizations—critical mold and housing protections have been officially added to the House and Senate defense bills now moving through Congress!

House NDAA (Bergman Amendment):

  • Requires the Secretaries of all military departments to adopt uniform mold remediation guidelines—covering military housing and facilities—that are consistent with the IICRC S520 standard, the gold standard in professional mold cleanup.

Senate NDAA — Section 2824 (Healthy at Home on Base Act):

  • Reflects key provisions of the Healthy at Home on Base Act, which calls for health-based protections for military families from harmful mold and water damage.
  • Demands stronger oversight, transparency, and accountability for how the Department of Defense handles mold prevention and mitigation in military housing, including new construction.

Senate NDAA — Section 2826 (Nondisclosure Protections):

  • Ends the harmful use of NDAs (nondisclosure agreements)—so families can finally speak openly about unsafe living conditions without fear of retaliation.

These provisions aren’t law yet—but their inclusion proves that our collective voices are being heard loud and clear on Capitol Hill.

This is advocacy in action. And we’re just getting started.

Thank you to every supporter, volunteer, and family who stood with us. Your support fuels this movement for healthy, safe homes. We need you with us to keep the momentum going.

Let’s keep fighting—for every family, everywhere.
